AOLP has many groups of leadership that have different responsibilities throughout the school year and summer conferences.

EXECUTIVE

COMMITTEE

Although the Executive Committee divides into workgroups to coordinate programs, the Execs do work as a complete team to implement those programs and to plan Orientation Leader training throughout the year. Executives design advertisements for AOLP; design t-shirts for Orientation Leaders, incoming students, and families; participate in MSC Open House; recruit OL applicants extensively; interview and select Orientation Leaders; and prepare and execute Orientation Leader training, among many other things. Throughout New Student Conferences, Execs coordinate the Pre-Conference Social, Trailblazing, Campus Tours, Student Track, Family Track and Conference Check-In. Execs also help with non-AOLP programs during the New Student Conferences and Gig ‘Em Week events.

LEADERS

ORIENTATION

Orientation Leaders undergo extensive training throughout the spring semester to prepare for the New Student Conferences during the summer. They staff the New Student Conference programs for which AOLP is responsible. Orientation Leaders will be placed into a color group with several other Orientation Leaders, and will have an Orientation Leader Coordinator to help guide them through the process. The OLs attend the New Orientation Leader Retreat at the beginning of the spring semester, and has the opportunity to go to a Leadership Retreat in the summer.
